We are looking to recruit a hands-on Finance Manager to manage a small team and the day-to-day finance function and reporting of the business.

The role will include:

  • Lead and guide a small team to include overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Preparation of month-end and year-end journals
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports to include P&L, cash flows, depreciation, analysis, and commentary
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Preparation of audit files and dealing with the annual audit
  • Maintenance of the company assets register and associated finance schedules
  • Monthly and annual reconciliation of the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of PAYE & NIC payments
  • Maintenance of the accounting software to include overseeing any updates

Experience & Qualifications

  • A qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Committed with solid commercial acumen
  • Experience in managing a small team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • SME/family run business exposure

Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.00 This is an office-based role to start but once you have a solid knowledge of the business, we can offer a more flexible approach.
